Step 1: Install this lock after the door or fence is installed and all necessary adjustments are completed. The lock body should be installed on the inside of the door (security side), with only the lock cylinder facing outwards to prevent any tampering.
Step 2: Determine the installation location of the lock and mark the center position of the lock cylinder on the door. During installation, the cam hole on the lock rod must face downwards to prevent water ingress. The distance between the lock body and the edge of the door must not be less than 5mm, and the lock travel must be sufficient to lock the door. Also, check the other side of the door to ensure the hole is properly positioned.
Step 3: Next, use an auger or flathead drill to drill a 26mm hole in the door. Ensure the hole is level and straight for optimal lock performance. Drill until the center point of the drill bit protrudes from the back, then finish drilling from the back to avoid splitting the wood.
